At the same time as the Parktown incident, EMER-G-MED’s M07, A03 and A11 responded to a second taxi accident on the corner of Grayston Drive and Helen Street, in Central Sandton.
On arrival paramedics found that a taxi had gone off the road and collided with a traffic light pole.
A total of four passengers as well as the driver sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated on the scene before being transported to various facilities by EMER-G-MED and other services.
JMPD were on the scene to investigate.
