A 32-year-old man was killed on Atlas Road near Top Road in Boksburg this evening.
At 6pm paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the man still trapped underneath a vehicle. Bystanders indicated that the man was still alive moments before paramedics arrived on the scene. They [paramedics] were unable to reach the man under the vehicle. The fire department lifted the motor vehicle and he was pulled out from underneath.
Upon assessment paramedics found that he sustained multiple fatal injuries and there was nothing that they could do for him. He was declared dead on the scene.
The female driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
