A man in his 20s was left critically injured this afternoon after he fell off his bike on De Waal Drive in CapeTown CBD.
ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare and Metro Services, arrived on the scene and found the man lying in the middle of the road just a few feet away from his motorbike.
Paramedics immediately went about assessing the man, finding that he had sustained numerous injuries leaving him in a critical condition.
The man was treated for his injuries and provided with numerous advanced life support interventions, in an effort to stabilise his vital signs.
Once treated, the patient was transported to Groote Schuur Hospital for urgent treatment.
Unfortunately, the cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities will be investigating further.
