Fifteen people were injured last night when their taxi overturned on the N6 approximately 10 kilometres outside of Reddersburg.
Shortly before 11pm, paramedics from ER24 and local emergency services arrived on the scene where they found the occupants near the taxi. It is understood that they climbed out of the wreckage shortly after it overturned. Ten occupants were treated for possible back and neck injuries. They also sustained several scrapes and bruises. Five were treated for minor scrapes and bruises. The injured were assessed and treated on scene before they were transported to Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein for further medical care.
It is believed that the taxi was the only vehicle involved in the incident. The exact cause for the incident is not yet known.
