A 33-year-old man was left critically injured this morning after he was ejected from his vehicle after it rolled on the R603 in Mid Illovo in Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 06hoo and found the light motor vehicle lying on its side on the side of the road. The body of the driver was found lying 3 metres away from the vehicle.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that the man had sustained serious injuries to his legs and head, leaving him in a critical condition.
ER24 paramedics immediately began their treatment on the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions.
Once stabilised, the patient was transported to Northdale Hospital for urgent treatment.
