Potchefstroom crash leaves 16 injured

On Sunday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a side-impact collision on the N12 about fifteen kilometres from Potchefstroom. Exact detail to the cause of the crash is still speculative and will form part of the South African police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that it was two taxis that were involved in the collision, some of the injured were still trapped in one of the wreckages. After the injured were examined they found that four people sustained critical injuries while twelve sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.

Medics from various services worked hand in hand to stabilise the injured before they transported them to hospitals in Potchefstroom for the care that they required.
