Woman trapped in vehicle extricated, airlifted to hospital after being critically injured in collision

ER24 as well as other services attended to a collision between two vehicles on the Golden Highway just past Lenasia, direction Lawley, late last night.

Upon arrival paramedics found a woman trapped in one of the vehicles. Fire and Rescue extricated the woman from the vehicle. Upon assessment of the woman, believed to be 32 years of age, by paramedics it was found that she was in a critical condition. She was treated and airlifted to hospital for further medical care.

ER24 paramedics were informed that there were at least two other patients who sustained critical injuries and two who sustained moderate injuries. They were taken to hospital by other services.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
