A man, believed to be in his 40s, was left critically injured this morning after he knocked over by an unknown vehicle on Edendale Road in Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying in the middle of the road.
Paramedics immediately assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his legs and head, leaving him in a critical condition.
ER24 paramedics immediately treated the man and provided him with numerous advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported to Edendale Hospital for urgent treatment.
The vehicle that apparently hit the man was not found on the scene.
Local authorities will be conducting an investigation.
