A nine-month pregnant woman was critically injured in an apparent hit and run incident in Riverbend Road, Bloubosrand in Randburg, earlier this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the woman lying face down on the road.
Upon assessment it was found that she was in a critical condition. Upon further assessment, it was found that her baby appeared to be fine at that stage.
The woman, believed to be 37 years of age, was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact details surrounding the incident are unknown. Authorities were on scene.
