A man, believed to be in his 30s, was killed late last night after he was hit by a light motor vehicle on William Nicol Road in Dainfern, north of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare, arrived on the scene and found the man lying in the middle of the road with the light motor vehicle parked next to him.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous, fatal injuries. Nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on the scene.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
