One man sustained critical injuries and two sustained moderate injuries in a crash involving a truck and a light delivery vehicle on the N12 east before the Delmas R50 off ramp earlier today.
ER24 paramedics and other services attended to the incident and found the truck on the side of the road. The bakkie which was badly damaged was on the road.
The two men who sustained moderate injuries, the drivers of each vehicle, were treated and transported to hospital by ambulance.
The passenger of the bakkie was trapped. He was extricated from the vehicle by Fire and Rescue. He sustained a partial amputation to his left arm as well as multiple other injuries.
He was treated and airlifted to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
