A woman, believed to be in her late thirties, was killed when her car overturned several times and crashed down an embankment along the R36 near Merensky High School in Tzaneen.
Shortly before midnight paramedics from ER24 and local emergency services arrived on the scene where they found the severely damaged vehicle down the embankment.
Upon assessment they found that she was trapped inside of the vehicle. She had multiple fatal injuries. There was nothing that paramedics could do for her and she was declared dead on the scene. It is believed that she was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The exact cause of the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
