5 Injured in CBD taxi crash in Durban

Five people have been injured after a taxi and a vehicle collided at the intersection of Smith Street and Gardiner Street in Durban central on Monday evening.

Just after 9pm Rescue Care responded to a call of a serious accident. On arrival paramedics found that a taxi and a vehicle had collided in the junction. A total of five patients had sustainbed various injuries ranging from minor injuries to moderate injuries. Once all of the injured had been stabilised on scene they were transported to various hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
