A man is in a critical condition after a bakkie and a light motor vehicle collided with each other on the R50 near the Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Pretoria.
The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Reports from the scene indicate that the occupants from the bakkie were not injured.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was intubated on scene by a Netcare911 paramedic and thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
