Police arrested 04 suspects aged beteeen 31 and 42 for Armed Robbery and Attempted murder yesterday, 17 December 2016, at around 18:30.
The complainant alleged that he went to Absa Bank at Jules Street, Malvern and withdrew cash to the amount of R2 000.00. He drove towards Primrose at Geldenhuis crn Stanhope Roads where suddenly a silver grey Toyota Run X intercepted his vehicle. The four suspects alighted from their vehicle and at gunpoint demanded cash from the victims.
The victims ran away and the suspects fired several shots. No one was injured.
Flying Squad members who were nearby were informed and responded swiftly and arrested the suspects.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the firearm that was used, was a licensed firearm belonging to one of the suspects.
The Suspects are detained at Primrose SAPS and they will appear at Germiston court soon. #CrimeMustFall
