Car crashed into river off Boeing Road bridge, Centurion

In the early hours of Saturday morning Emer-G-Med’s RV7, RV8, F01 and A08 responded to a call of a driver that lost control and drove off Boeing Road bridge into the river below, in Centurion.

On arrival paramedics found that the driver had been pulled out of the vehicle, by a good samaritan who saw skidmarks on the road and stopped to investigate.

The patient was found next to the roadside, wet and in a hypothermic state.

The patient was immediately assessed and loaded into the ambulance. Paramedics and our road doctor began to stabilise the patient, treating the patient to raise her body temperature and blood pressure.

Once stable, the patient was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
