A man was left in a critical condition this evening after he was shot multiple times while walking on Albertina Sisulu Street in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying on the side of the road surrounded by several members of the community.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his back and arm, and was in a critical condition.
Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to stabilise the patients vital signs.
Once stable, paramedics transported the man to Helen Joseph Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
