This morning, while on his way to work, one of our Advanced Life Support paramedics came across a vehicle that had rolled off the highway and into a ditch on the N1 North just before 14th Avenue, in Roodepoort.
It’s alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the rollover. Six occupants, most of whom had been seated on the back of the bakkie, sustained minor to moderate injuries. The driver was uninjured in the collision.
The off-duty paramedic immeadiately began treating the injured, and called for further resources. Emer-G-Med’s A01 and A02 responded to the scene.
The patients were assessed and stabilised at the scene, before being transported to various nearby hospitals for further care. JMPD were investigating the events leading up to the collision.
