Car fire on the N1 North before Allandale Road, Midrand.

Yesterday morning Emer-G-Med’s M07 received reports of a car fire on the N1 North before Allandale Road, in Midrand.

On arrival paramedics found a car, on fire, in the middle lane. The driver reported that he had been driving when he smelt something burning – he immediately stopped and found that the engine bay was well alight.

Paramedics and towtruckers were able to successfully extinguish the flames before the Fire Departments arrival.

Fortunately no injuries were reported.
