Three people have been injured one seriously so after the vehicle they were in collided with a truck on the M19 Durban bound just after the Dunkeld Road onramp around 10am this morning.
Wet weather this morning in Durban yet again causes havoc on the roads. Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the scene where they found a vehicle had rear-ended a truck causing the driver of the vehicle to be entrapped. Durban fire department and Rescue Care Advanced Life Support paramedics worked together with fire department as the Jaws of Life were used to free the critically injured man who had been placed on a manual ventilator on scene. Two occupants from the truck sustained moderate injuries and were also treated and stabilised on scene. All three people were transported to nearby Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
