A pedestrian was killed on the N12 outside Potchefstroom towards Klerksdorp during the early hours of this morning.
Shortly after 1am paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the pedestrian with fatal injuries. There was nothing that paramedics could do for the man and he was declared dead on the scene. At the time paramedics were on scene, they could not locate the vehicle that collided with the pedestrian. It appeared that the pedestrian was hit by several vehicles.
In another incident, shortly after 2am, paramedics from ER24 came across an incident where a car crashed into a wall at the corners of Jeppe and Louis le Grange Roads in Potchefstroom. Upon assessment, they found that the driver sustained fatal injuries. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.
Local authorities attended the incidents and will investigate.
