A 24-year-old woman was killed on the Evander Road in Secunda, Mpumalanga this evening.
Shortly after 5pm, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene and found a bakkie lying on its side. Upon further assessment, they found the young woman trapped inside the vehicle. She had sustained fatal injuries. Sadly, there was nothing that paramedics could do for her and she was declared dead on the scene.
Bystanders explained to paramedics that it appeared as if she swerved for a truck and lost control over the vehicle. The vehicle overturned several times.
The exact cause will be investigated by the local authorities that attended the scene.
