Five people were injured late last night when a truck overturned on the N8 Highway, approximately 50km outside of Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find a truck lying on its side, on the side of the road. Four people were seated outside the vehicle while a man was found inside the vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the five and found that they had sustained moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Pelonomi Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
It is understood that the driver lost control of the truck, causing it to overturn.
Local authorities will conduct an investigation into the cause of this incident.
