Newlands West crash in Durban leaves twenty one injured

At 17h14 on Sunday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision along Inanda Road in Newlands West, Durban. Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation. Reports however indicate that three taxis and a car collided.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the intersection was obstructed with the crumpled remains of the vehicles. After the taxi commuters and the occupants of the vehicle were examined, it was found that twenty-one people were injured, three seriously while the remainder sustained minor injuries.

Paramedics treated the injured at the scene before they transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
