At around 13h00 on Tuesday afternoon the Netcare 911 rescue officer was traveling along the N2 just past the M25 when he was flagged down by a security officer for a man in his fifties that was stabbed. Reports from the officers indicate that they noticed the elderly man walk along the highway, a man came running out the bush and stabbed the pedestrian.
The Netcare 911 paramedics stabilised the critically wounded man at the scene and then transported him to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.
