The vigilance of Visible Policing members from Beaufort West in the Greater Karoo Cluster paid off in the early hours of this morning when a five ton truck with abalone was stopped.
Two suspects aged 37 and 33 were arrested, approximately 20 000 units of dried abalone and 155 bags of frozen abalone confiscated. Provincial Organised Crime detectives and DAFF officials

The suspects are expected to appear in the Beaufort West Magistrates’ Court soon.
