Two men were killed and three others were left injured last night when the light motor vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a tree off the P252 in Wartburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
At approximately 20h30, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the Provincial Services already in attendance.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found that two men had sustained fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead by Provincial Services.
Three other patients were found on the scene. Assessments showed that their injuries ranged from minor to serious.
The patients were treated for their injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before the were transported to a nearby private hospital for further treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
