Biker Injured In Collision in Ottawa, KZN

At approximately 13:18 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the south bound lane of the R102 at the Ottawa intersection in Verulam after receiving reports of a collision involving a light motor vehicle and a motorbike.

Upon arrival a Hyundai I10 & a Yamaha delivery bike were found to be involved in the collision. The 31 year old biker sustained moderate injuries. He was stabilised on scene by paramedics before being transported to St. Augustine Hospital. The driver of the Hyundai I10 was not injured.

It is alleged that the Hyundai I10 was turning into Kissoon Road from the R102 when the biker, who was travelling in the direction of Phoenix, collided into it.
