A 30-year-old motorbike rider sustained fatal injuries when he crashed on the N12 east near Tom Jones off ramp this afternoon.
At approximately 1pm this afternoon, paramedics from ER24 and local provincial services attended the scene where they found the rider near the side of the road. Paramedics initiated CPR on the rider but were unable to revive him. He was later declared dead on the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash is not yet known. Ekurhuleni Metro Police attended the scene and will investigate.
