An unidentified man has been killed after he was crushed by a truck & trailer in Phoenix – KZN a short while ago.
At approximately 18:36 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene after receiving several calls from the public reporting the incident. Upon arrival the pedestrian was found to have suffered life threatening injuries and died on scene.
Witnesses reported that the man was standing on the roadway when a super link truck loaded with two shipping containers turned into the road. The pedestrian was knocked by the second trailer and dragged under the wheels of the vehicle. The truck did not stop on scene.
It could not be confirmed if the driver was aware of the incident or he simply fled the scene of the accident.
