Two arrested in sting operation in possession of cocaine, tik and suspected stolen goods

In a sting operation, targeting drug dealers, members of the Mdantsane Operational Command Centre (OCC) and Crime Intelligence Unit seized 70g of coccaine and 6,6kg of crystal meth with a combined estimated street value of R1, 2 Million and an undisclosed amount of cash. They further seized seven cellphones and a digital camera.

A male suspect and his girlfriend was arrested during the search in Coetzee Road in Amalinda on Wednesday, 26 July 2017. The two suspects aged 25 and 40 were charged for dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen goods. Both suspects are due to appear in the East London Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen goods.
