25 August 2017 – On Saturday, 19th August 2017, Tiger Wheel & Tyre teamed up with a number of sponsors, including Beame, a brand by MiX Telematics, to host free Tyre and Road Safety workshops for women at selected stores countrywide. The workshops included key aspects of tyre and road safety, including how to change a tyre, the importance of motor maintenance, understanding tread patterns for individual driving styles, side wall tyre markings and key safety tips.
The #HerPowerWithTWT campaign was aimed at empowering women on the road by giving them key tips and insights into vehicle-related matters.
“Through this activation, we believe we have brought road safety top of mind for female consumers and equipped them with the know-how and skills relevant to key safety related matters. Education of this nature is a cornerstone to our business and comes at no better time than now – during Women’s Month,” says Joe du Plooy at Tiger Wheel & Tyre.
Further to the workshops, 20 lucky ladies who attended the event, won a one day 4X4 off-road driving experience in Gauteng – sponsored by Michelin Tyres.
“There is no doubt that empowering women, and giving them a platform to engage and network, can go a long way in not only ensuring their safety but enabling them to share their experiences and become ever more street smart. We believe that our event this weekend was able to offer the attendees just that!
