Reportedly Unlicensed Teenager Arrested For Drunk Driving in Verulam, KwaZulu Natal

An unlicensed teenager was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he crashed the vehicle he was driving on Olivine Road in Everest Heights a short while ago (Sunday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene after receiving several calls from residents in the area reporting the accident. Upon arrival it was established that the SEAT Ibiza was travelling at high speed on Sapphire Road when the driver lost control on a bend, climbed a steep embankment before it came to a stop outside a home on Olivine Road.
The 19 year old driver reeked of alcohol and was unstable on his feet. He was placed under arrest by Officers from the Metro Police.

The passenger of the vehicle, who was also intoxicated, was not injured in the accident.
