11 injured during morning crash in Jacobs

Eleven people including nine children have been injured after two taxis collided into each other at the corner of Bluff Road and Balfour Road in Jacobs South of Durban this morning.

Just after 06:30 am Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two damaged vehicles in the roadway. One of the vehicles was transporting children to school their ages from 5years old to 12years of age. Once all of the injured had been stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage, the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
