A twenty five year old female has been left fighting for her life following a high speed collision on the M25 Kwamashu Highway this afternoon.
Crisis Medical Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 16:00 to find the twisted remains of a Mercedes Benz occupying the roadway.
The female passenger was found lying in the roadway having suffered traumatic head injuries. Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize her before she was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll several times. The female passenger was ejected in the roll over.
The driver could not be located and is alleged to have fled the scene.
The incident will form subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
