Kempton Park bakkie rolls leaving nine injured

Nine people were left injured this morning when the bakkie they were traveling in rolled on the R21 south near the Pomona turn-off in Kempton Park.

ER24 paramedics, along with various other services, arrived on the scene at 09h17, finding the bakkie lying on its roof in the fast lane. The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and had made their way to the emergency lane.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that nine had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were found on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various hospitals for further treatment.

Traffic was heavily affected in the area, due to the collision.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
