New Germany man knocked down as two taxis collide

A man, believed to be in his late 20s, sustained moderate injuries on the corner of Freese and Posselt road in New Germany this morning.

At approximately 05h50, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying next to the road.

The pedestrian was treated for wounds he sustained to his legs and back and was transported to RK Khan hospital for further medical care.

The drivers of the taxis, both believed to be in their late 30s, sustained minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals to receive further medical care.

There were no passengers in the taxis.

The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known to our paramedics, but the incident will be investigated.
