At approximately 13:09 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the R102 near King Shaka International Airport after receiving a call from a member of public reporting a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival a Toyota Yaris was found lying on its roof several metres away from the road. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle was not injured. The vehicle was travelling in the south bound lane towards Verulam when the accident occurred.
Circumstances surrounding the accident has not been established at this stage.
