At approximately 05h37 on Sunday morning 22 October 2017, Netcare 911 was called to assist at a stabbing at a home in the Uvongo area, Margate.
Reports from the scene allege that the sixty-year-old man was in his driveway when he was attacked and stabbed multiple times during an apparent robbery attempt.
The victim had sustained very serious injuries with stab wounds to different areas of his upper body and was attended to by a Netcare 911 Advanced Life Support paramedic. He was quickly stabilised at the scene and then transported by Netcare 911 to a hospital for the medical care that he required.
Local SAPS were at the scene and initiated their investigation into the incident.
