Fochville man killed when motorcycle crashes into truck

A 36-year-old man was killed this morning when his motorcycle crashed into a truck on the R500 outside of Fochville.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h00 to find a motorbike, lying in pieces, in the middle of the road. The body of the biker was found lying two meters away.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.

The driver of the truck was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
