Eastern Cape: Motherwell SAPS Special Crime Prevention Operation

Motherwell SAPS today conducted special crime prevention operations utilising it’s Support Service personnel in support to the run up of the festive season and the 16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women and Children.

The operations were also part of the celebration of the the 11th birthday of Motherwell Police Station. Two groups working shifts took part in the operation through foot patrols, mall visits, patrolling the areas at ATMs and Vehicle Checkpoints on main routes in Motherwell.

Members comprising of duty officers as well as civilian members also assisted in the station’s Community Service Centre to enhance service delivery. At 11:30 a flag hoisting ceremony during a parade in front of the CSC gave honor to this day, and the Code of Conduct was read to the parade by Cst Mcina (Sector Manager). The salute to the flag was followed up by cutting the birthday cake and was enjoyed by all attending members at the station. #SaferFestiveSeason #365Days#CountMeIn #EndGBV
