Seven children sustained moderate to minor injuries when two cars and a taxi collided on Willowton and Church road in Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.
At approximately 15h30, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the seven children were all passengers of the taxi.
ER24 transported five of the children to Edendale and Northdale Hospital for further medical care.
Two more children were taken to a nearby hospital by other emergency services on scene.
Local authorities were on the scene to conduct an investigation into this incident.
