Three people have been injured after a fire broke out in shops on Bartle Road near Fennis Cowles Road in Umbilo early on Saturday morning.
Around 08:50am Rescue Care Paramedics together with the Durban Fire Department arrived on the scene to find parts of the building on Fire. Fire Fighters worked quickly to contain the blaze quickly. Three occupants were injured and treated on scene by Paramedics, they had suffered minor injuries.
The Road was closed whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
At this stage the cause of the fire is unknown however SAPS and Durban Fire Department were on scene and will be investigating further.
