A male pedestrian was killed after he was knocked down by a taxi on the R54 on Villiers road in Three Rivers in Vereeniging last night.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene just after 21H00 last night, they found the man lying in the middle of the road. Upon further assessment, it was found that the man had sustained fatal injuries and he was declared dead on the scene by ER24.
The taxi driver was also treated for minor injuries. ER24 transported the driver to Kopanong hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
