Taxi crash leaves driver entrapped on McArthur Street in Durban

A taxi driver was entrapped in his vehicle as a result of a collision with a car before colliding with the wall on Mc Arthur Street in Durban on Monday afternoon.

Just after 12pm Rescue Care Paramedics responded to the call to find that a taxi and a car had collided before the taxi lost control and collided with the wall. The Taxi driver was entrapped in the wreckage and the Durba Fire Department worked to cut him free whilst Paramedics stabilised him in the vehicle. Once freed the driver and one passenger were transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
