Three vehicle collision leaves man seriously injured in Shongweni

A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left seriously injured this morning following a three-vehicle collision on the N3 Key Ridge in Shongweni, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find that three vehicles had collided and were found on the side of the road. A man, believed to be in his 30s, was found lying in the center median.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries, leaving him in a serious condition. The man was treated for his injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for further treatment.

It is believed that the man lost control of his vehicle, causing it to crash into the center median. The man then attempted to flag down and slow other vehicles when he was knocked over.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
