One person was injured after the vehicle she was traveling in crashed into a metal barrier and came to a stop in a ditch on Todd Street near the entrance of Oaklands Drive in Verulam last night.
At approximately 22:55 members of Reaction Unit South Africa was called out to the scene by passing motorists requesting assistance for the injured passenger. Upon arrival medics treated the woman for moderate injuries before transporting her to Osindisweni Hospital. The driver of the Cherry QQ was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and was handed over to Police.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
