Five people have been injured after three vehicles collided on the M4 near Broadway around 1pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the badly damaged vehicles in the roadway and centre medium. Two people were severely entrapped in the wreckage and the Jaws of Life were used to cut them free whilst Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise them in the vehicle. A total of five people had sustained various injuries and once stabilised they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage the events leading up to the collision is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
