Housebreaking Suspect Steals a Bed in Southridge, KZN

Pictured is a 20-year-old housebreaking suspect Yonela Dunchana of Waterloo who has been arrested after he and an accomplice broke into a home in Primrose Drive – Southridge in Verulam and stole a queen size bed.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa received the information of the crime in progress earlier today (Monday). Several Reaction Officers converged on the home & the suspects fled towards the railway lines upon noticing the response vehicles. Officers then blocked off all exits & footpaths between Southridge & the Cbd & after a lengthy chase one suspect was arrested. During an interview, he informed Officers he and his friend Lindo had broken into the home on previous occasions and stolen jewelry, electronic appliances & other household goods.

The suspect then led Officers to a dense bush where he pointed out the mattress & base that they had stolen.
