Medical Identification can save your life

A true reality story in South Africa:

Reportedly a patient was transferred from a Government Hospital on Saturday evening by one of our Service Providers EMS (Emergency Medical Services)

According to the Doctor (Unknown) at the Government Hospital, the unknown patient was brought into their trauma unit plus minus thirteen days ago as a so-called John Dow. The man was critically injured and sustained serious head injuries and couldn’t talk on his own behalf.

The Emergency Medical Services (Ambulance) brought the middle-aged man in after they have found him ran over by a car while he was reportedly walking. They couldn’t find any Medical Information on him at this time and he was transported to the closest medical Government facility where he was treated for his injuries.

Apparently thirteen days later his family found him laying in a Government facility. After they reported him missing to the police thirteen days ago.

This man was on a very good medical aid, he couldn’t talk on his own behalf because of no identification. No ID number and no Medical aid card.

When they found that he has a medical aid he was transported in a serious condition to a private medical facility, this is when his medical aid took over.

If this man happened to be a member of CrisisOnCall, he would be transported to a private Medical Facility from the start, his next of kin would be informed by the CrisisOnCall Call Centre and kept updated on his situation.

Don’t let this happen to you or your loved ones. Join CrisisOnCall today for complete peace of mind.
